Hospices Civils De Lyon (HCL)

Hospices Civils de Lyon (HCL) is France’s second-largest university hospital and a pioneer in healthcare innovation, with a dedicated Innovation Department supporting companies in the development and evaluation of healthcare technologies.

Within TEF Health, HCL provides robotics testing and experimentation services through Station H, its hospital-based living lab. Covering applications from surgical robotics to hospital logistics and service robots, Station H offers a range of services including needs assessment, usability engineering and evaluation in accordance with IEC 62366-1, testing in realistic simulated hospital environments, and clinical investigations. These services combine clinical expertise, user-centred approaches and direct involvement of healthcare professionals to support the development and clinical evaluation of robotic solutions tailored to real-world hospital needs.
